Megan Kenney

President, Director of Marketing & Communications, and Secretary

Megan (née Mascarenhas) earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and education from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL and a Master’s degree in Musicology from Northwestern University. After graduate school, she spent a year in Vienna, Austria as a Fulbright grantee conducting graduate research and teaching English in two Austrian schools. Megan currently teaches children and adults private piano lessons and coaches ice hockey.

After losing her dad in 2018, Megan’s heart has been to minister to widows and their families. She is a certified Ramsey Financial Master Coach and aims to help married couples plan and prepare their finances, equipping them to withstand the financial woes of widowhood.

In her spare time, Megan loves long walks with her husband and golden retriever, family road trips, hockey, reading, and coffee dates with friends.

Krystal Perea

Treasurer

Krystal married her high school sweetheart and the two were later blessed with three sons. As a teacher, she has worked in elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as now in a college teaching math. She and her husband made homeschooling their boys a priority and in turn had the wonderful privilege of doing so from kindergarten all the way to their sons’ high school graduations. Krystal has served in many ministries throughout the years, working with children, married couples, the Deaf community, youth, widows, orphans, and as treasurer for a high school booster club. As a proud military wife, she is very thankful for her family and she simply wants to serve the Lord wherever He leads her.

Bobby Vanderzalm

Director of Social Media

Bobby is a pastor of a local church in Orlando, FL who serves the senior/widow community at his church.

Richard Godsil

Richard is a Staff Missionary with Great Commission Alliance and a Pastoral Counselor and Family Coach. Working with the Great Commission Alliance Organization allows him to train, disciple, encourage, and empower youth, pastors, families, leaders, and communities worldwide.

His specialty is in coaching families and discipling pastors to be unique servant leaders for the Kingdom, by providing them with tools and the resources to strengthen their families and churches that will allow them to work within their communities on a deeper level.

In 2009, he published a small group book entitled, “Building a Strong and Loving Family” to help churches and small groups with strengthening families.

Craig Buzan

Craig is a business professional who enjoys family and church.  After graduating from the US Military Academy, he spent his first years serving as a US Army artillery officer, being assigned to locations around the country as well as overseas.  Transitioning to the corporate world, Craig accumulated more than 20 years working as a management consultant in the burgeoning industry of Information Technology.  During that time, he worked alongside a wide variety of corporations and government agencies, large and small, to develop technology strategies and implementation plans.  More recently, he has taken a position as a financial planning advisor in a firm that is focused on providing life-long financial planning services to members of the US military and their families.  Craig’s passion is in helping others to be excellent in all aspects of their lives – personal, professional, and spiritual – throughout all the seasons and phases of a lifetime.

Craig and his wife have been living in Winter Garden, Florida, since 2018.  Together they thoroughly enjoy their five grown daughters and sons-in-law, and an ever-increasing number of grandchildren.

John Ledford is an accomplished financial advisor with a passion for innovation and growth. As the CEO of Fortress Wealth Group (FWG), he drives the company’s mission to help clients build and preserve wealth through strategic investment and financial planning approaches.

With over three decades of experience, John has a proven track record of providing a multitude of expertise regarding everything from financial and tax strategies for individuals and small businesses to estate and retirement planning. Under his guidance, FWG has achieved remarkable milestones—increasing its revenue by more than double the last 3 years. In addition, FWG was named “Best-in-State” by Forbes Magazine (2022) and recently voted the #1 wealth management company by readers of Orlando Magazine (August 2023).

John’s expertise also extends beyond the office. He is a sought-after speaker at industry conferences and appears weekly on Orlando’s CBS and Fox affiliates, where he shares insights with viewers on solutions for achieving their financial goals.

John began working in finance at the age of 19 at a major Wall Street brokerage firm. From there, he quickly advanced to a trust officer with one of the nation’s largest trust and investments banks. From there, John joined Financial Advisory Service, soon advancing to president and co-principal. He held this position until 2002, when he formed Ledford Financial, now known as Fortress Wealth Group (FWG).

John attended North Texas State University and is a graduate of the University of Central Florida. In addition, John completed the Advest Wealth Management Institute program at Harvard University, earned the CFP designation from the College for Financial Planning and furthered his expertise through the Cannon Trust School’s Trust Principles and Application program.

Born in Normandy, Missouri and raised in Winter Park, John currently resides in Baldwin Park with his wife Valerie, stepdaughters Mayson and Mackenzie, and their goldendoodle, Arlo (FWG’s “fur”nancial advisor). His son Josh is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and younger son Brad is a graduate of UCF and working as a financial advisor with Fortress Wealth Group. Away from the office, he enjoys diving, music, and just about every sport.

John’s commitment to community involvement is incredibly important to him, as evidenced by his active support of numerous charitable organizations including Action Church, American Red Cross, Better Man Ministries, Campus Crusade for Christ, and many others.
