When you know “whose” you are, you know “who” you are.
I am an arrow in God’s hand, He stretches His bow and takes aim. He will not miss His target. In the hands of the master archer – the Author of life – my confidence is not shaken.
He will cause me no harm, He calls me His beloved, He will eternally protect me from the snares of the enemy, His favor and grace are ALL I need to live an abundant life.
His gaze upon me is tender. I rest in a peace that passes all understanding.
For, I know who I am in Christ, not because I know who I am but because I know who Christ is.
Who is He to you?
When you understand that you are a child of the King of Kings, your Sovereign Heavenly Father, you can boldly approach His throne with confidence!
“Before they call I will answer.”
Isaiah 65:24
Why do we pray? To make our requests known to God – not because He does not know. He knows the beginning from the end. We pray because when we enunciate our needs we get to be a part of His beautiful answer unfolding.
Often time, in the realm of what we cannot yet see, our answer has already been set in motion. But when we see the answer unfold before us – we are amazed at the specificity of God’s response. We get to use the waiting period to hear from God. To align our hearts to His will, to align our prayer to His heart and not our own selfish desires.
Then the miracle unfolds!! He has answered our prayer before we ask. He anticipates our need before we recognize our own need. It’s we who have to do some catching up. It’s we who have to stand in awe as our miracle unfolds.
